Hello, I’m Chuck Isaac, the founder of Tone Alchemy. My journey into the world of sound wasn’t forged in a quiet workshop, but in the high-pressure, make-it-happen-now world of live events.
Since the early 2000s, I’ve lived and breathed audio and event technology. For over 15 years, I was on stage and behind the mixing desk, working everything from intimate venues to major music festivals. My roles were comprehensive: as a Stage Tech, Front of House (FOH) and Monitor Mixer, and Stage Manager, I was responsible for delivering pristine sound and ensuring flawless execution. Beyond the stage, I gained a holistic understanding of event production by managing the digital infrastructure, serving as a Website Developer and Ticketing Administrator—building festival sites and deploying the on-site ticketing systems from the ground up.
In that world, there are no second chances. Sound has to be perfect, reliable, and impactful, every single time. It taught me how sound works under pressure, how to shape it, and what it takes for gear to survive the rigours of the road.
From the Stage to the Circuit Board
That deep, practical experience is the heart and soul of every Tone Alchemy guitar pedal. I don’t just design circuits; I solve the real-world problems musicians face. My time managing stages and mixing for countless artists taught me that the best gear isn’t just about tone—it’s about bulletproof reliability and intuitive design that works flawlessly on a dark stage under pressure. Each pedal I build is meticulously crafted with this philosophy, born from decades of knowing what works when it absolutely has to.

I bring the same problem-solving mindset from my live engineering career to this work—sound in a game needs to be impactful, clear, and perfectly timed to enhance the player’s experience.
